What a horrible sight. I turned the TV on that morning just as the first tower was falling. I couldn't believe my eyes!!! So many lives were lost. My first feeling was confusion and wonder. I wondered how anybody could do something like this. I can't imagine actually wanting to do this, what sickoes!!! What a shame.

I was driving my son to school in Australia when I heard about this on the radio...I felt sick to the stomach and confused too.Exactly 12 months later I was flying over here to meet my now Husband for the 1st time...it was the only flight I could get and it was empty..no one wanted to fly that day. Thanks for the visit today...I have been well and hope you have too, sorry I haven't been around in a while. Im due to have my last baby any week now and I have no energy to keep up with my journal..lol. Things should return to normal eventually, until then...take care ;)

Hey, Sherry,
I thought I would let you know that the morning that the world trade centers got hit, more like ambushed, I was sleeping, yet, when the first one got hit at 9am that morning. Then, I assume it wasn't long after that, that the second tower got hit. I don't know the full details of that day, even watching the news on September 11, this year, I still didn't get the whole story. But I remember waking up at 11am ( CDT ), as I lived in WI at that time, and after I had gotten done with a shower and dressed, I went into the living room at Mom and Dad's house, as I was still living at home, and my Dad had the news on. I asked what was going on in the news and he said the WTC's had been hit in New York City. I reacted as if it were of no importance.. just some anonymous attack again... nothing to be concerned about... and I asked my Dad... " and what does this mean for us ? " And my Dad said that the twin towers were only a part of our nation's history. And I think it took me a few weeks to finally realize the siginificance of that day's events. And I became angry. I got put on antidepressants not too long before or after that day. Don't exactly remember exactly when I got prescribed that medication.
For Christmas, the next year, I got a book entitled " Chicken Soup For The Soul Of America " and I am not even half way thru it. And I have had it for four years.
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you my story. Thanks and take care !!
